This is a migration project where IBD Data CPTYR is being replaced with Snowflake. There are certain limitations while using CPTYR as it should reach both the storage and compute limits of the underlying database, Sybase ID. This was causing instability / outages in cases of peak load (or bad queries being executed).
•
Rather than attempting a full re-write each different use case that was leveraging CPTYR, an approach was agreed where all data would be migrated from its existing sources to Snowflake.
