Undertake the Procurement process for RFI, RFP, negotiation and vendor management within the categories above
•
Administers and leads cross-functional teams through the competitive bidding process, directs supplier negotiations, and develops, evaluates, and selects suppliers in accordance with company policies
•
Negotiating, drafting and completing contractual terms for projects and works within the Category
•
Cultivate and manage key supplier relationships for long term strategic positioning
•
Lead commercial negotiations through to contract award or amendment
•
Own the development of category strategies including research and analysis (spend analysis, make vs. buy, cost benchmarking, etc.) to identify category saving opportunities and develop strategic category plans
•
Leads and/or participates in meetings with suppliers to rectify issues and to ensure suppliers are capable of meeting and are aware of the requirements and expectations
•
Pursue continuous improvement of process and technologies and commercial innovation
•
Provide expertise, guidance and training to others in the team on effective category management
•
Prepare reports for senior manager review and supervise operations
