START tool stands for Segmentation Triage and Routing Tool, START application intake and routing process can be classified into four process mentioned below

Agent/Brokers who can get the business on behalf of liberty mutual insurance for new business or renewal. They send an email with the new business details/ renewal details to state boxed email box or sometime these agents who works on business for specific segment will send an email directly to Under Writers, Territory Manager, Account executive or any contact in Liberty Mutual whom they have worked, they forward the email to state based email box, which is continuously monitored by central intake team or processors

Central intake/processors team are the end users, once they receive the email into the state based email box they launch start tool and in the UI screen they can attach the email and can keen the information about the business like who is the insurer, whose name insurance going to be done
•
For example, Organization name, effective date, total cost and what type of business like bunch of parameters and they store the information in START tool and which is saved in back end START database (SQl server)
•
Once the intake is submitted by the processor the corresponding underwriter will get clearance email
•
Underwriter is responsible to work out with their team to get that submission information into their system
•
Segment goes to midsize those information feed into midway and new opportunity will be created into midway and depending on how they segmented and clearance email is send
•
And as long as Start application work is done as soon as once clearance email is send to the recipient’s, whether it’s is restricted, denied or cleared or pre routed, those corresponding Underwriter who is the receipt of email is responsible to work with their team and enter the information into the additional
