Facilitate implementation of EHS framework with respect to corporate policies, standards and Guidelines of the organization
•
Daily inspection of plant for assurance of EHS procedures, identification and rectification of unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
•
Investigation of Accidents, Incidents and Near misses to find the root cause and implementation of Corrective actions and preventive measures to prevent their recurrences
•
Interface with outside agencies for Statutory Compliances and other Legal approvals
•
Identify the Safety Training needs of Plant Employees and Staff pertaining to EHS
•
Prepare and execute the training as per calendar
•
Organize periodic EHS committee meetings and act as a Coordinator for the EHS Committee
•
To look after Operation and Maintenance of Fire Fighting Equipments to coordinate for Statutory Testing of Fire Fighting equipment and ensure that all these equipments are always maintains in healthy condition
•
Lead / participate in Internal /Corporate audits in the plant and monitor the closure of follow up actions items
•
Monitor identified compliance requirements as per applicable legislation
•
Develop and Improve On- site Emergency Plan, Conduct periodic Mock-drills for On-site Emergency Plan
•
Supervise all critical jobs and issue safety work permits and suggesting precautionary methods to avoid accidents / Dangerous occurrences
•
Organizing Celebrations, Competitions of National Safety Week and other related activities
•
Organizing Celebrations of Fire Service Day and World Environment Day to create HSE awareness amongst employees
•
Give HSE inputs in design for procurement of new Machines and Equipment
•
Maintaining High Awareness, Motivation & Skill among management & workforce
•
Conducting Regular Safety Audits, Safety Survey, Safety Inspection
•
ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001 Documentation
•
Conducting HAZOP studies, Risk Analysis
•
Inspection of all PPE’s related to all activities of Plant
•
Conducting Illumination level survey as per Factories Act 1948
•
Work Place Health Risk Assessment of all Unit Operations and Processes
•
HAZOP study of new facility, new molecule and change in any existing facility using HA software. (Zurich Hazard Analysis)
•
PRORA (Process Risk Assessment) for all new processes
•
Tap root analysis of every accident / Incidents using Tap Root software
•
Maintaining Occupational Health Center
•
Conducting Annual and Bi Annual Medical Checkup of all employees according to their work environment and present to Management to take necessary action and improvement
•
Maintaining Form 7 ( Health Register) as per Medical Reports of Employees
•
Conducting weekly Plant Safety Meetings and Hazard identification
•
Conducting Behavior Based Safety Audits and survey in all area to identify Positive and Negative Observation and suggest corrective measures to compliance
•
Safety induction training to all new comers
•
VOC audits and action plans to control VOC emissions
•
Implement and update Business continuity management and Business continuity plan
•
HSE DMS updating ( Data Management System) through Software for reporting Global EHS Head
•
Active Member of SPAN and MARG
•
Conducting Defensive driving and Driving assessment of all vehicle drivers
•
Conducting periodic First Aid and Disaster Management training programmes
•
Hazardous Waste Management ( Solid &Liquid)
•
Make sure all present safety systems are working properly by means of inspecting & recording properly
•
Check & updates of all licenses such as petroleum, factory; testing certificates & maintain records

Accident / Incident analysis & corrective action report prepare & keep follow up

Increase safety awareness among employees by safety trainings, notices, posters & visits to other factory
•
Conduct HAZOP, Internal Safety Audit, Mock Drill etc & keep follow up

Ensure health check up of all employees are conducted yearly & periodically

Assist the Site Managers in smooth working of the Site Safety Committee

Assist Site Project Team on Contractor Safety Management, Incident Investigation, Emergency Response and PPE in their work

Assist Line Managers in identifying training needs of the new and existing employees and develop/review training modules
•
Assist the Technology Transfer Team to ensure that all safeguards as listed in the TDR have been provided before the plant/process is commissioned
•
Assist team in pre-start-up safety review of the new processes (including scale-up). Screen project plans for setting up new facilities or modifications of the existing ones to ensure that safety hazards and risks have been identified and adequate controls are provided
•
Assist Line Managers in Incident Investigations as required. Independently monitor the progress of implementation of the recommendations made in the investigation report
