As Finance and Administration Head of EMERDA for the past 9 years, I have been responsible to oversee the overall financial management, office administration including Human resources management and procurement

I have also been in charge of managing the Funds of various donors of EMRDA which amounts to more than one million dollars annually
•
Being the ultimate responsible person of the office, I have led and oversee the operation of the organization’s bank accounts, timely reconciliation of bank statements, closing of book of accounts and preparation of periodic financial reports, year closure of accounts and for audit observations
•
In overseeing the proper implementation of the financial, human resources, property and administrative rules and regulations of the organization, provide overall leadership and guidance to staff in all this functions
•
My role also includes follow up and monitor on the proper implementation of the organization’s budget and provide technical support and be focal point of Finance for guidance to Program Department on matters concerning appropriate use of resources

I have also play a role in the design of projects, preparation of project proposals and developing budget in consultation with Program Department and also take part in the Five Year Programme Management Plan
•
Ensuring that the organization has appropriate policies, guidelines and procedures for finance, property, personnel and administration matters and follow-up on their implementation is another key responsibility
•
Moreover, establish and maintain contacts with Donor Agencies and Partner Organizations in relation to financial aspects of projects in a way that is helpful for the realization of EMRDA’s vision, mission and objective

Execute and follow up the recruitment, selection, placement, transfer, promotion and termination of the organization’s personnel are also my roles
•
In charge of managing the Funds of various donors of EMRDA which amounts to more than one million dollars annually

In charge of the over-all administration of the office which includes field trips, transport, inventory management, office up-keep and contract administration

Supervise, guide and motivate the Finance and Admin. staff to ensure optimum finance and administrative services
•
Responsible for end of year closure of accounts and responsible for audit observations
•
Contribute to the Five Year Programme Management Plan and also to Annual Report of the organization
•
