Hired as a Rotating Equipment Technician by Beamco Nigeria Limited to assemble, repair, maintain and pressure test rotating equipment required for use in the oil and gas industry
•
Overhauling, repairs, and testing various types of Control and On-off valves mainly used in Gas Oil Plant (knife gates, plug valves, gate valves, ball valves, pinch valves, plug, butterfly, Fisher control valves, masoneilan, and various types of Flowserve valves, all types of globe valves)
•
Overhauling, testing and repairing of PSV, PRV, PVSV, PVRV, reseat relief valve and regulator
•
Carried out DCI on valves
•
Carryout Seat leak tests for control valves, isolation valves and PSV as per ANSI FCI 70-2, API 6D and API 527 standard
•
Hydrostatic pressure testing of valves as per standard API 598 and API 526
•
Carryout disassembly, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly, and testing of valves are efficiently done at the plant and client locations
•
Experience to operate Ventil test bench to test shut off valve, pressure relief valves, pressure safety valve, breather valves, air relief valves, tank hatches
•
Overhauling and repairing all types of valtek actuators
•
Carry out site surveys, online control valves calibration, safety valves online testing (online prevent test or Insitu test using ventil hydraulic pump unit)
•
Mechanical valves online troubleshoot like Rectify gland leak, rectify bonnet leak, rectify valves hard to operate
•
Verifies conformance of spare parts with respect to stock list and blueprints, using measuring instruments such as callipers, gauges and micrometres
•
Carry out shell, back seat, hydro seat and pneumatic test on valves using the valve test bench
•
Perform root-cause analysis with excellent written and oral communication skills to resolve technical problems
•
Pressure testing of mechanical seal and dry gas seal
•
Disassembly, repair and assembly of mechanical seals
•
Hydro testing of pipes, spoon
•
Testing of pump to detamin seal leakage
